Drawing lessons with Wilbur Niewald and Don Quixote

I spent the afternoon drawing with (& drawing) Wilbur Niewald in Loose Park after Lloyd Schnell's funeral. Later, I met with Don Quixote in the PA Gallery of the Nelson Atkins. A comforting respite to the afternoon's events.

  1. I found Wilbur painting at Loose Park back in 2006... https://www.deviantart.com/opheliasnightmare/art/Wilbur-Niewald-38740808

I was impressed by how he was absolutely grinning the whole time he painted.
When I asked him if I could photograph him, I also asked how long he'd been painting. He said, "Oh, a while..." and grinned even more broadly. <3
